July 4th and Summer --- Giveaway Info Below
So we took a walk to the cemetery (it’s not as morbid as it sounds, being a good hike uphill a couple of blocks) on this nice, sunny day. And we looked forward to our watermelon later.
Summer — a great time to plan all sorts of activities. July 4th (with the pandemic “mostly” over) we helped man the booth for an organization, and listened to music, and bought unique drinks (I’m GLAD they did NOT have club soda and had to give me plain strawberry lemonade instead). And the July 4th fireworks included letter shapes and what looked like comets with gold tails going in all directions. Fun moments.
Note that last July 4th our mayor actually thought it was a good idea to have fireworks for all to see. But that summer, 2020, COVID-19 cases shot up after that because citizens weren’t social distancing and many didn’t wear masks in public. That was unwise and unfortunate.
This summer, those of us who are vaccinated can enjoy outdoor crowds, fireworks, and not worry about COVID. We can concentrate, instead, on swimming at the local pool or lake, summer picnics, and other fun things to do.

Welcome To Great American Idea
Extensively, I will provide ideas and examples on managing money better, paying for an education, dealing with doctors, good ideas or deals when it comes to travel. There is also the science element, as it relates to my book “Great American Women in Science and Environment.” Science and the future can be both a good thing or bad depending on your consumer choices and outlook. And writers can always use tips on how and where to make money. I will do regular blogs on these issues.
